Katsina State Governor Signed 2024 Budget, Cites Improved Security Landscape

In a significant development, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has officially inked the 2024 budget into law, swiftly approved by the State House of Assembly. The budget, amounting to ₦454,308,862,113.96, was formalized at the Government House chamber, with the State Chief Judge, Justice Musa Danladi Grand Khadi Dr. Kabir Abubakar, legislative members, and the State Executive Council in attendance.

Governor Radda expressed gratitude for the Assembly's prompt approval, achieved within a remarkable 33 days of careful scrutiny. Recognizing the collaborative efforts of the State Deputy Governor, executive council members, and all contributors to the budget-making process, he vowed strict adherence to implementation procedures, focusing on needs and priorities.

Emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation with the legislature, Governor Radda highlighted legislative milestones, including the passage of ten executive bills in the past seven months. These bills addressed critical areas such as Assets Management, Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency, and the establishment of the Irrigation Authority.

Providing a positive update on the security front, Governor Radda declared a reduction of over sixty percent in the state's insecurity level. He acknowledged ongoing efforts to tackle challenges in Danmusa, Kankara, and other affected areas, reaffirming the government's unwavering commitment to resolving longstanding issues impacting the state.
